Everyone adds some dirt and shines some light.

What is love, really?
A dear friend is also an enemy,
On a good day, she has my back,
On a bad day, she bites and attacks.

What is love, really?
Does it last till eternity?
My own blood can bring so much joy,
The very same person I try to avoid.

What is love, really?
I feel sad and then I feel happy,
Black and white, combined into one,
Day and night within one person.

What is love, really?
No one is one way only,
No one is meant for all occasions,
No one is intended for all reasons.

What is love, really?
Unconditional beyond duality,
Everyone adds some dirt and shines some light,
Providing nutrients to my tree of life.
